I am a NYC-based dancer, choreographer, and photographer. I primarily focus on performance and event photography. My own choreographic experiences allow me to skillfully compose and capture moments in performance. By viscerally watching dance or theater shows as if I were one of the performers in the work, I document not only the exciting poses and jumps, but also those landmark moments critical to the dramaturgical arc of the piece, and even those moments with less virtuosic motion. I believe performances should be photographed by performers. When photographing events, I love to capture the candid moments of people laughing, putting food out, and engaging naturally in the event. I believe that this captures the natural mood and energy in the room. I also ask people to pose for photos , which creates a nice mix of candid and organized group images.
